If you plan to serve and/or sell alcohol to the general public, liquor licensing in Colorado requires you to obtain license approval from the Local Liquor Licensing Authority. The Town Council grants such licenses. In addition, the town, along with the state, require that you pay an applicable fee. You will need to make one check out to the Town of Mountain Village and a separate check made out to the Colorado Department of Revenue, Liquor Enforcement Division.
Your first contact is the Town Clerk, who, acts on behalf of the Local Liquor Licensing Authority, and is authorized to
- accept your liquor license application
- process your application
- schedule public hearings regarding your liquor license request
Since approval for a liquor license is a two-tiered process, you will want to visit the State of Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division Web site for more information.
Aside from the Town Clerk, other departments may be involved in the process.
Fingerprinting Procedure
Fingerprinting is done at the Mountain Village Police Department at 411 Mountain Village Blvd., first floor. Please call (97)0 728-9281 to set up an appointment.
